Responsible gambling
Gambling is for adults aged 18 or over. It should be entertainment, not a way to make money.
Before you play
- Decide how much you can afford to lose and never stake more.
- Set deposit and time limits before you start, and stick to them.
- Do not gamble when tired, upset or under the influence of alcohol.
Warning signs
- Spending more money or time than you planned.
- Chasing losses or gambling to win back what you lost.
- Borrowing money or hiding your gambling from people close to you.
- Feeling anxious, irritable or guilty about gambling.
Take control
- Take regular breaks and never chase losses.
- Use the limit and cool-off tools where a casino offers them. Some casinos only offer self-exclusion by email.
- Self-exclude if you need to stop. Ask the casino's support, and consider blocking software too.
- Talk to someone you trust.
